Shop rides on Wednesday evenings
Everyone is welcome
to join us on our shop rides. A reasonable level of
fitness and basic off-road skills are needed, but we
will always wait if you fall behind! Our rides are not
particularly long and generally only last a couple of
hours; the emphasis is on having fun rather than competitiveness.
Weather permitting, if raining
please ring to check: 01275 876572
Please bring front & rear lights. |

| New
ride! Afan Argoed, near Port Talbot, Wales
A selection of superb
flowing trails and more all weather singletrack than
any other mountainbike centre in Wales! See www.mbwales.com
for more information.

Shop Ride
We head out along Nortons Wood Lane and up on
to Cadbury Camp, criss-crossing Tickenham ridge via
the many bridle paths, there are a few tough climbs
but the fun, rocky descents make it worth your while.
Average distance 12 miles, average time 1 & ½
- 2 hours, followed by a visit to the Black Horse in
Gordano or the Old Inn in Clevedon on fine evenings.

Brockley Coombe
Starting from the car park opposite Spar in Backwell,
we head along the A370 to Brockley Coombe. After a short
road climb, we head into the woods for some fast, flowy
single-track circuit including a couple of nice descents.
The final bit of off-road is a long gully descent down
to Flax Bourton, then a quick spin along the lanes takes
us back to the start.

Leigh Woods
Meeting at the lay-by car park at Leigh Woods, this
ride is totally off road on the various bits of single-track
and hard surfaced tracks that run through Leigh Woods.
There is no set route as we pretty much make it up as
we go along, often with input from other members of
the group more familiar with the woods.

Ashton Court
Meeting at the car park closest to the Suspension Bridge,
we ride the Timberland trail - view a description
of the ride here.

Mendips
Meeting at the Mendip Hills AONB car park at
Charterhouse, we head up for a 99% off-road ride with
fantastic single-track descents and a big climb mostly
on fire tracks. Check out the bike card and fat
tyre trail guides for more information on this area.

Forest of Dean
Meeting at the Pedalabikeaway car park near Parkend,
we head off into the forest for a mixture of firetracks
(mostly climbs) and singletrack (mostly flat or descents).
See www.forestry.gov.uk
for details.
Hawkridge Reservoir near Spaxton,
Bridgewater
Meeting at the layby carpark by the reservoir,
we head towards the Quantocks ridge for a rocky, short(ish)
ride which includes a couple of tough climbs, you have
been warned!
Cwm Carn, near Newport, Wales
If you live round here and you’ve not heard
of Cwm Carn, where have you been? See www.mbwales.com
for more information.
Haldon Forest Park, near Exeter
Near Exeter racecourse, this is a fairly new
trail, which although it's very short (7 miles) is pretty
technical. It tends to suffer when the weather has been
bad so check the website www.haldonforestpark.org.uk
and follow the links to the 'Freer-Ride Area' to check
it's open or call us to check the ride is still on.
