We start by cleaning the bike thoroughly this shows up any damaged parts that would otherwise be hidden under a ton of dirt and it also makes it easier to work on. The wheels are then removed and checked for true. Worn bearings or damaged spokes can be replaced, and with the wheels slotted back in the gears and brakes can be checked and adjusted making sure they index and return properly. Any worn brake pads or damaged cables are replaced. If you are using hydraulic brakes these are bled and re-shimmed if necessary.

From there we go to the chainset making sure everything is tight and in alignment, bottom brackets wear frequently so this is checked and replaced if necessary.

All controls are checked, lubed and adjusted accordingly making sure the headset bearings are ok and adjusted to the correct tightness.

Finally the tyres are checked for cracks or wear and then pumped up to the correct pressures for the conditions and style of tyre.

Nothing major is replaced without first consulting the customer.

This means we can do a service on either the gears or the brakes without the customer having to pay for a service checkup where the whole bike is serviced.

We can build wheels from scratch using any desired hub or rim combination. We use DT swiss spokes because of their quality.

BOTTOM BRACKET
Often when a frame comes off the production line there are very small discrepancies on some of the bearing faces that in time can result in wear times on bearings being greatly reduced, the bottom bracket shell is one of those areas so before a new one is fitted we “face” the shell this tool cuts a small amount of material from the frame so when a new bearing is installed it sits perfectly square.

FORKS
When forks are purchased from us we fit them for free, if not its no problem we can fit any make of fork a fresh star nut and cap is included to keep everything tight.

The headset is also checked and regreased to keep everything nice and smooth.

HEADSET
As with the bottom bracket its very important that these frame surfaces are perfect in order for the components to work how they were designed to providing a smooth running bearing and keeping out the elements, so when a new headset is installed these surfaces are both “faced” to provide the best possible surface.

DISC BRAKES
When discs are purchased from us we fit them for free but if not we can fit any model. They are fitted, shimmed and routed correctly, then bled with a good quality oil after the break in period we ask that they be returned to be checked and re shimmed if necessary.
